Elections & Voter Information

General Information

In 2015, the State of Wisconsin created the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) to oversee all elections in the State. The Village of Poynette's elections are administered by the Village Clerk and other election officials as determined by the Clerk.

The polls for all elections are open at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm.

Where

The designated polling place for all Village of Poynette residents is at the Poynette Municipal Building, 106 S Main Street Poynette, WI 53955.

Voter Information

The State of Wisconsin operates a website called MyVote.  This website is designed or voters to get fast and understandable information about upcoming elections, where to vote, how to register to vote and how to vote.  This is the best place to start for all questions related to voting.

  • Bring it the Ballot - The State of Wisconsin has put in place a Voter ID law.  The Bring it to the Ballot website was created to assist voters in understanding the rules related to this law.
