pauquette signPoynette's park system has a wide variety of recreational amenities for both the most active and passive recreation interests. Picnic tables, walking paths, ball games, playgrounds, splash pad, and ice skating, make the park system active and enjoyable throughout the entire year. The Park, Recreation & Community Engagement Department ask that you obey the following rules of the parks to help make it an enjoyable visit and experience for everyone.

  1. Park hours are 5:00 am to 10:30 pm.
  2. Please dispose of garbage and litter in the provided receptacles.
  3. Please discourage and report all acts of vandalism. (Police # 635-2588)
  4. Glass beverage bottles are prohibited.
  5.  Dogs are permitted in the Village parks and trials; however, they must be properly restrained in accordance with Village Ordinances. The owner or handler shall be responsible for the proper disposal of any animal waste.
  6. Skateboards, roller blades, scooters, roller skates, and bicycles are only permitted on the paved paths.
  7. No person shall operate any snowmobile, all-terrain vehicle, go-cart, or similar motorized vehicle anywhere within any park without permission from the Village of Poynette.
  8. No person shall use park shelters as campsites, nor shall vehicles, except police and emergency, be driven or parked in shelters or on paved trails without permission from the Village of Poynette.
  9. Camping or staying overnight anywhere within the park system is not permitted. 
  10. Amusement devices, tents, trailers, or any similar structures shall not be permitted without Village authorization.
